1 min read

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police in Western Pennsylvania say a man was shot to death at a Pittsburgh playground after a loud argument with another person.

A police spokeswoman said the gunfire occurred at 11:25 a.m. Saturday in Vincennes Park in the city’s Hill district.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 23-year-old Jewell Shelby Jr., a resident of the North Side.

Authorities said he had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Resident Garland Cheatham told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that gunfire in the area usually doesn’t happen at that time of day in a park that is usually full of children.

Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
