DA says police shooting justified

Troopers were sent to Gary Wissinger’s home in Brush Valley Township just after midnight, where he was reportedly drunk and threatening his wife. Police say Wissinger came outside with a handgun and pointed it at troopers, at least one of whom fired. Wissinger went back inside but wasn’t confirmed dead for hours.
Dougherty says police had been sent to Wissinger’s home multiple times during the past year on domestic calls.
