Carnegie man waives charges
A Carnegie man accused of assaulting a woman in McDonald earlier this month waived his charges to court Thursday.
Robert Allen Walker Jr., 36, is also accused of driving under the influence of alcohol after reportedly crashing into a motorcycle parked in the bar’s lot.
Walker and his girlfriend, Megan Ferri of Canonsburg, had been drinking inside the Fox Hole and got into an argument over his level of intoxication as they were leaving the bar.
After crashing into the motorcycle, Walker took Ferri to the 100 block of West Lincoln Street dropped her off and then parked his vehicle. A short time later, the two got into another argument. He reportedly grabbed her by the neck and slamming her off the hood of a parked vehicle.
Walker waived charges of simple assault, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief, DUI, disorderly conduct, harassment and various traffic violations before District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
He remains free on $5,000 bond.
