State police arrest 10 for DUI in Canton Township
State police at the Washington barracks arrested 10 drivers on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol during a sobriety check point late Saturday into early Sunday on Route 844 near Town & Country Market, Canton Township.
Police stopped 68 drivers during the checkpoint. Thirty-three traffic citations were issued including four for seat belt violations, one for a child safety seat, two speeding, two driving under suspension and three for driving under suspension-DUI-related.
A felony warrant was served on one individual whose name was not immediately available. Police also issued two criminal citations and made one arrest on a misdemeanor charge. Twenty-four warnings also were issued.
