Charges withdrawn
Charges were withdrawn Wednesday against a Charleroi man after it was determined by the prosecution that the young alleged victim was not capable of testifying against him.
Jonathan A. McDonough, 39, of 1012 Crest Ave., was arrested last month by Charleroi police on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.
Police had accused him of fondling a 5-year-old girl earlier this year.
McDonough had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Central Court before District Judge Jay Weller. He was released from Washington County Jail, where he had been held on $100,000 bond since his June 23 arraignment.
