Outbound Liberty Tunnels to close

The state Department of Transportation is reminding drivers that the outbound Liberty Tunnels in Pittsburgh will close at 10 p.m. today and remain closed until 6 a.m. Aug. 12.

Crews will be replacing the concrete arch at the exit end of the tunnel.

A detour will be posted.

The inbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly during the outbound closure.
