Police: Nearly $90K missing at Penn State frat

1 min read

STATE COLLEGE (AP) – Police say they’re investigating nearly $90,000 reported missing from a fraternity at Penn State University.

State College police say someone at the Theta Delta Chi fraternity reported the missing money and court documents, including a search warrant, spell out what police are investigating.

Bank records show about $57,000 in suspicious cash withdrawals from a fraternity bank account between August 2011 and December 2012. Police say in the same search warrant there appear to be about $30,000 worth of unauthorized debit card withdrawals, too.

Nobody has been charged with a crime, and the fraternity has not commented on the investigation.

Court records show police got the search warrant in January and that police finally received the bank records sought last week.
