PORTERSVILLE (AP) – An autopsy was set on the body of a 49-year-old western Pennsylvania man, who fell or jumped from a bridge into a creek.

The Lawrence County coroner was investigating the death of Jeffrey Alborn, of Hickory Township.

His body was found in Slippery Rock Creek Thursday afternoon, about nine hours after a motorist saw Alborn about dawn on the Rose Point Bridge on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township.

Police followed a trail of blood from Alborn’s pickup to the edge of the bridge and searched beneath it before Alborn’s body was found about 1,500 feet downstream.

The autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
