Driver injured: A Washington woman was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, for treatment of injuries following the crash of a sports utility vehicle she was driving about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. State police in Washington reported that Nicole Leann Hall, 21, was traveling east on Route 40 with an unidentified 6-week-old girl in the seat behind her. Police said Hall drove off the south side of the road, then in an effort to return to her lane, crossed all lanes, hit a guardrail, went over an embankment and struck a tree. Fire personnel had to remove the roof to reach her. The infant, police said, was properly secured in a rear-facing child seat and was reached immediately.
