PennDOT announces work schedule
Greene County maintenance manager Jerome Simkovic announced a tentative work plan for the week of June 10. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Patch paving will take place on Route 19, Greene Street, Waynesburg Borough.
• Bridge cleaning is scheduled to be done on Interstate 79 in Franklin Township, on Route 21 in Jefferson Township and on Route 19 in Whiteley Township.
• Community Work Program litter detail will collect road side litter along Route 0018 from Holbrook (Center Township) to the West Virginia state line (Freeport Township).
• Route 18 will have base failure repair operations on going north from West Waynesburg to the Washington County line.
• New under-drains will be installed in various locations along Route 3007, Blockhouse Road (Gilmore Township) to Triumph (Jackson Township).
• Concrete culvert rehabilitation and bridge maintenance will take place on Route 1021 from Carmichaels to Bailey’s Crossroads (Cumberland Township).
• Shoulder cutting/grading and unpaved grading will be completed on Route 2018 (Kirby Road) from Smith Creek Road in Franklin Township to Garards Fort Road in Green Township.
• Slide repair continues on Route 2003, (Buckeye Road); Perry Township. The road is closed.
• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and complaints will be addressed on state routes throughout Greene County.
• Patching will take place on Route 3005 (Long Run Road) in Aleppo Township.
