1 min read

CINCINNATI (AP) – Police are investigating fatal shootings in two Cincinnati neighborhoods that claimed the lives of two men.

Police said 32-year-old Antonio Wright was found on a sidewalk about 5:30 a.m. Sunday in Over-the-Rhine and 39-year-old Derrick Minor was found in the Bond Hill neighborhood about 9 a.m. Both were dead at the scene.

Police said the investigations are continuing. They released no additional details.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports there has been a recent rash of violent crimes in Over-the-Rhine, where another man was killed a few weeks ago.

The newspaper reports that police told a town hall meeting of concerned residents last weekend that criminal activity normally spikes in the spring and encouraged residents to report suspicious activity. Residents were planning to form a chapter of Citizens on Patrol.
