Police seek two in Canton Twp. burglaries
State police are looking for two people believed to have burglarized two businesses on Jefferson Avenue in Canton Township early Sunday.
Police were called about 1:45 a.m. for a report of someone breaking the window at Shorty’s Lunch, 2301 Jefferson (Route 844).
When troopers arrived, they discovered one of two windows at the restaurant’s drive-thru had been broken.
About 2:20 a.m., police drove by again and noticed the other window had been smashed out. Police went around the rear of the building and found a rear door had been forced open. Police said DNA evidence was left in this area. It will be processed and sent to the state police crime laboratory for analysis.
Police then discovered a window in a door at Chuck’s Archery, also at 2301 Jefferson, although no entry appears to have been made through the two doors leading into the building.
The report did not indicate what was stolen from the restaurant.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
