Washington High School will graduate 86 seniors during its commencement at 6:30 p.m. June 13 in the high school auditorium.

Speakers will be Dr. DiLorenzo, “What’s In Your Toolkit?”; James R. LeMon, “Perseverance and Believing In Yourself”; valedictorian Kristen Rose Wilson, “This is For You”; and salutatorian Kerri Leigh Silbaugh, “A Prexie Today, Tomorrow and Forever.”

Wilson is a daughter of Keith and Michele Wilson of Washington. She will attend Waynesburg University and study secondary education chemistry.

She won the Silver Key for her writing portfolio for Scholastic Art and Writing, the JA Scholarship from State Farm for Junior Achievement volunteer, Washington Chapter of Pennsylvania Retirees Scholarship for future teacher, Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship for future teacher and several more.

She was also on the high honor roll list her entire high school career, won the Amelia Earhart Award for community service, and was a member of the student council, Future Teachers of America, National Honor Society, concert band, jazz band, steel band, Prexie Performers and many more clubs.

She volunteered at the Wellness Center and tutored and participated in the art and science camp at West Liberty University.

Silbaugh is a daughter of Doug and Cathy Silbaugh of Washington. She will attend Duquesne University’s Mylan School of Pharmacy.

A high honor roll student, she was awarded the Rachel Carson Book Award, the Italian-American Cultural and Heritage Society of Washington County Scholarship, and the Duquesne University Annual Scholarship.

She was a member of the key club, Spanish club, SADD, student council, world travelers and peer jury and vice president of the National Honor Society.

She volunteers at Humbert Lane Nursing Home, organized a fundraiser at WHS for the Tim McNerney Scholarship Fund for W&J College and participated in the March Against Violence.
