Dick’s to expand in Findlay Twp.

1 min read

IMPERIAL, Pa. (AP) — Dick’s Sporting Goods plans to expand near its western Pennsylvania headquarters, by leasing 73 acres at a business park near Pittsburgh International Airport.

Dick’s opened the new headquarters in early 2010, a 675,000-square-foot building on 116 acres in Findley Township. The $150 million site includes an airport hangar.

Now Dick’s plans to build another 180,000-square-foot building in the Northfield Commerce Park next to the airport by the end of next year. Dick’s plans to build on land it will lease for 25 years from the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which runs the airport and manages some nearby development.

Authority spokeswoman JoAnn Jenny says terms of the deal are still being finalized.

Dick’s has more than 500 stores in the United States and operates Golf Galaxy outlets.
