1 min read

A Canonsburg woman was arrested Thursday on a warrant obtained by North Strabane Township after she allegedly stole money from a township man’s 401(k) account.

Krystle A. Lewis, 26, of 227 Teepee Road, was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of theft, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, receiving stolen property, forgery and criminal use of a communications facility.

Lewis is accused of stealing $29,337 from the account of Dennis McGlone between Oct. 1, 2011, and March 31, 2012, by writing herself checks. At the time, she was staying at McGlone’s residence with her boyfriend, who lived with the North Strabane man.

Weller set bond at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is set for later this month.
