Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

David M. Klover, 37, of Washington; carrying firearm without a license; charged Sept. 10, 2006, after police responded to an incident at the Cozy Corner Bar in Canton Township; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail, firearm to be destroyed.

Gregory Hayes, 30, of 208 Laredo St., McKeesport; theft; charged March 28, 2012, for stealing items from Diliscia’s Stone Contracting on Route 837, Union Township; sentence – 8 to 16 months in jail, restitution to be determined.

Andre L. Wilkerson, 28, of 1222 McKean Ave., Donora; harassment; charged April 24, 2012, for assaulting a woman at 109 Second St., Donora; sentence – $300 fine.

Richard E. Novak, 48, of 100 Country Club Drive, Richeyville; prohibited offensive weapon; charged July 30 after threatening to harm his wife and her children with an altered shotgun; sentence – 24 months of probation, anger management counseling, domestic violence counseling, weapon invovled to be destroyed.

Harold J. Gearhart, 37, of 5 Whitehall St., Marianna; conspiracy to commit burglary, possession with intent to deliver; charged July 17 for driving the vehicle of the person who attempted to steal a television a home in West Bethlehem Township, and charged Aug. 6 for growing four marijuana plants at his home; sentence – 1 year less 1 day to 2 years less 2 days in jail, followed by 24 months of probation, restitution to be determined.

Dejaun Antone, 24, of 298 Vance Ave., Monongahela; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; charged July 27 following a traffic stop in Monongahela; sentence – 12 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program.

Lisa M. Herzig, 41, of 300 North Gallatin, Uniontown; possession of a controlled substance; charged for incidents Aug. 27, 2008, and Sept. 18, 2008; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Justin L. Boyer, 22, of 25 Verner Ave., Bulger; resisting arrest, public drunkenness; charged July 29 after police responded to an underage drinking party and he put the officer in a choke hold; sentence – 24 months of probation, anger management counseling, $100 fine.

Brandon A. Boyer, 27, of 25 Verner Ave., Bulger; resisting arrest, public drunkenness; charaged July 29 after police responded to an underage drinking party and he resisted police; sentence – 24 months of probation, anger management counseling, $100 fine.

Ashley Nichole Wilson, 28, of 309 Sixth St., Charleroi; reckless endangerment; Sept. 30 with trying by escape custody by assaulting a constable who was driving; sentence – 18 months of probation.

Jerome Taylor, 58, of 1260 McKean Ave., Donora; driving under the influence of alcohol; charged Sept. 6 following a traffic stop in Donora, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.185 percent; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Clayton M. Sarkett, 20, of 120 A Binns Road, Brownsville; second offense of DUI, careless driving; charged Dec. 1 after hitting a parked car in California; sentence – 6 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program, first 60 days on home monitoring with work release, 12-month license suspension, $775 fine.

Robert S. Straffon, 42, of 813 John St., Langeloth; second offense of DUI, speeding; charged Oct. 12 following a traffic stop on Route 22, Robinson Township, with a BAC of 0.132 percent; sentence – 6 monthsof IPP, first 60 days on home monitoring with work release, 12-month license suspension, $785 fine.

Frank W. Bruno Jr., 28, of 24 S. Haft St., Houston; second offense of DUI; charged Nov. 22 after a hitting a parked car in North Strabane Township with a BAC of 0.229 percent; sentence – 18 months of IPP, first 6 months on home monitoring with work release, 18-month license suspension, $1,500 fine.

Keith A. Denneker, 38, of 970 West Wylie Ave., Washington; second offense of DUI; charged Dec. 15 following a traffic stop in Canton Township with a BAC of 0.209 percent; sentence – 18 months of IPP, first 6 months home monitoring with work release, 18-month license suspension, $1,500 fine.

Gerald Hawk, 24, of 717 Bitner Road, Dunbar; DUI; charged July 1 following a one-vehicle crash in West Pike Run Township; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail consecutive to existing state sentences, 12-month license suspension, $1,000 fine.

Melvin T. Treets Sr., 69, of 4451 Franklin St., Bellaire, Ohio; second offense of DUI, careless driving; charged Dec. 31 following a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Donegal Township, with a BAC of 0.159 percent; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $775 fine.

Donald E. Obitko, 50, of 106 First St., Elco; third offense of DUI; charged Dec. 5 following a traffic stop on Highland Drive, California, with a BAC of 0.167 percent; sentence – 18 months of IPP, 6 months home monitoring with work release, first 30 days on SCRAM-X, 18-month license suspension.

Dennis J. Garrett Jr., 32, of 187 1/2 Maple Ave., Washington; second offense of DUI; charged Oct. 11 following a one-vehicle crash in the area of Armstrong Drive, Canton Township, refusing a blood-alcohol test; sentence – 18 months of IPP, first 6 months home monitoring, first 30 days on SCRAM-X, 18-month license suspension, $1,500 fine.
