Alleged shooter featured on Crime Stoppers
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a Washington man accused in a shooting outside a Canton Township bar earlier this month.
Tevin Rahmik Heyman, 20, whose last known address is 950 Addison St., Washington, is wanted for the June 6 shooting of 56-year-old Robert Sutton and his 32-year-old son, Akili Sutton, outside the Cozy Corner bar, 22 Euclid Ave.
Akili Sutton had been involved in a confrontation with an unidentified man outside the bar, and his father, who was working the door at the bar, had come out to assist his son. State police have arrested Eric Johnson, 24, of Washington, who was with Heyman at the time of the shooting and reportedly punched Akili Sutton, knocking him unconscious.
Heyman’s girlfriend, Taneisha Lashay Thomas, 21, of 825 Ewing St., was arrested for allegedly lying to investigators about her boyfriend’s whereabouts and her involvement with him the night of the shooting. She is charged with hindering apprehension.
Rebecca Lynn Kohn, 30, of Joffre, was charged with hindering apprehension and false reports for allegedly lying to state police during interviews just after the shooting. Kohn eventually admitted that she drove Heyman, Johnson and Thomas to a convenience store on Henderson Avenue in Canton Township and dropped them off after the shooting.
Heyman is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Police said Heyman is known to frequent the Brownsville area. The .380-caliber handgun used in the shooting has not been recovered.
