Peters Twp. police charge woman with theft

A Pittsburgh woman was charged with three counts of theft after Peters Township police said she stole $1,190 in cash after accepting three customers’ deductible amounts while an employee of Opeka Auto Repair on Valley Brook Road.

Sheri Cogley, 39, of 5041 Doyle Road, was arrested June 14 following an investigation by township police, who were notified of the thefts June 10.

In addition, police said Cogley stole $120 from the company cash box.

She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
