Rolling Thunder at library
CARMICHAELS – A storm is making its way to Flenniken Public Library’s Monday at the Library series.
The library will welcome members of Rolling Thunder, a motorcyclist organization for veterans, at 6 p.m. this Monday.
Their bikes will be parked in the lot, weather permitting, while the members of the group give a presentation on military personal who are missing in action or prisoners of war who have not returned home yet.
The group has given their presentation at Greene County area schools that shows the program is designed to be an interesting to all ages.
The Rolling Thunder group would especially like to invite veterans and their families to attend the presentation.
Rolling Thunder’s mission is to educate the public about POW/MIA personal, to raise awareness of the need to bring these people home and to protect future veterans from being left behind, should they become prisoners of war or missing in action.
Members of Rolling Thunder also make it their responsibility to visit the elderly and disabled veterans in area nursing homes to let them know they are not forgotten.
