Police seek suspect in fatal shooting on trail
CLYMER (AP) – State police have been searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man on a rural Western Pennsylvania walking trail.
Troopers from the barracks in Indiana, Pa., say 46-year-old James Alexander was found shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene about 9 p.m. Monday.
Police say Alexander was on the trail in Clymer, near Route 403 when a person reported hearing gunshots and found Alexander.
Police do not believe Alexander was a random target, though they’ve not said why they believe that.
Clymer is about 50 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
