Man killed in I-79 crash near Canonsburg
A Carnegie man died about 6:05 p.m. Thursday after the pickup he was driving rolled over on Interstate 79 north, just past the Canonsburg exit.
Dakota Nairn Houy, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said. There were no other passengers in the truck. The truck left the roadway, traveled about 260 feet along a hillside, struck an exit ramp sign pole, rolled over and came to rest on its roof, a coroner’s report indicates.
The cause of death is pending autopsy and state police are investigating.
