North Strabane firefighter injured in crash on way to fire
A North Strabane Township firefighter was injured this morning when his fire department vehicle was involved in a crash at the intersection of Route 19 and Weavertown Road while he was reponding to a fire call. The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said. The fire, at a home on Vista Hill Road, broke out about 10:20 a.m. in a master bathroom that was undergoing renovations. A woman and three children in the home escaped unharmed. Firefighters from several departments were at the scene.
