Lions Club names students of month
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Summer Fiori and Loren Dukate have been selected as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for February.
Fiori, daughter of Laura and Michael Fiori of Mt. Morris, maintains a 3.9 grade-point average.
She is a member of the concert and marching bands, clarinet ensemble, color guard, National Honor Society, Youth Alive, library service club, The Future is Mine and Penn Serve. She has received academic awards in advanced physics and Spanish.
Fiori is a member of Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle.
She plans to attend West Virginia University and pursue a degree in exercise physiology.
Dukate, son of Brian and Kathleen Dukate of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.9 grade-point average.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, library service, lettermen’s club, Spanish club and the golf team. He won the WPIAL Class AA Section 8 golf championship.
He is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and its youth group.
Dukate plans to attend Clarion University and study biology/pre-med and play on the university’s golf team.
