The flea market/bake sale and lunch scheduled today and Wednesday at the Clarksville Area Lions Club and Community Center, 524 East St, Clarksville, has been canceled. The Center will resume “Table Top Flea Market” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and it will continue every Tuesday.
A square dance (also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more) will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Rogersville fire hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Call 724-499-5385 for additional information.
Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Bands scheduled to appear are Country Pride and Larry Santee. Admission is $3 and the event is sponsored by the ladies auxiliary.
An Italian buffet will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Church, Mt. Pleasant Road, Dilliner. The menu will include assorted Italian entrees, soup, salad, beverages and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the Western Pennsylvania Prison Ministries and The Mission Barn.
Greene County Pomona Grange will meet Saturday at Harveys-Aleppo Grange near Graysville. The business meeting will begin at 3 p.m. with Overseer Marty Dinsmore presiding. Lecturer Colleen Nelson will present the program. A covered-dish supper will follow the meeting.
Jefferson Baptist Church, 179 Pine St, Jefferson, is offering monthly support group meetings for friends and relatives of those who suffer from substance abuse of any kind. The next meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 12 in the church basement. The meetings are held the same time on the second Tuesday of every month. At this meeting people can talk to others who are struggling with how to deal with their loved ones who are addicted to alcohol or drugs.
