• Action: Borough council voted to hire Bill Gamble as a consultant in the rewriting of a new civil service manual. The manual is important in hiring and disciplining police officers and other township officials among other things. The current manual was written in 1988. Gamble’s contract was for $1,100.
McDonald Borough also approved the hiring of a new part-time police officer. Ross Tyler Youree was hired for the department that also handles law enforcement for Robinson and Independence townships and Burgettstown and Midway boroughs.
