Zoning board rejects plan
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Borough Zoning Hearing Board Monday rejected a plan submitted by a local businessman to establish a used car lot on a vacant lot at the corner of High and Richhill streets.
Richard Kalsey had applied to the zoning hearing board for a variance to establish the car lot on property he owns east of 238 West High Street.
The property is zoned B-1, and a used car lot is a permitted use in that zone. However, Kalsey’s plan failed to meet zoning requirements for the minimum lot size. The ordinance requires a lot size for a used car lot of 32,670 square feet. Kalsey’s plan indicated a lot of only 23,120 square feet.
