WAYNESBURG – Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation in Waynesburg will hold a meet-and-greet from 5 to 7 p.m. March 19 to introduce the facility’s new administrator, Michael L. Foxworthy, who took over the position in January.

The event is open to all residents of the facility, their families, its employees and the community.

Foxworthy brings more than 30 years of experience operating nursing homes, home health agencies and assisted living facilities to the 121-bed facility in Franklin Township. His past work experience has included the stabilization of a financially distressed nursing home through bankruptcy, negotiating a new union contract during a strike and lockout and the transition from a hospital-based home health agency to a nonprofit one.

“Mike is known for his proven leadership, commitment to the residents and staff and is already developing excellent relationships with community members,” said Christal L. Emanuelson, senior director of business development.

Foxworthy comes to the facility from HealthMark Group Inc. of Longwood, Fla., where he was the president and chief operating officer. Before that he was the vice president of the multi-million dollar HealthPrime Inc. Corp. in Alpharetta, Ga., that managed and operated long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities and home health agencies.

This experience provided him with opportunities to do human resources work, marketing, quality assurance, Medicare and Medicaid certifications, budgeting and financial reporting.

He has overseen the construction and opening of five nursing homes in Atlanta for Regency Health Care Centers, Inc., in the corporation’s first year of operation. Foxworthy worked for the company from 1980-89 while the corporation grew to 34 facilities over an 18-month period.

Foxworthy received his bachelor’s degree in public relations and communications from the Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn., in 1971. He began his career in health care in the 1970s, working as an administrator for the Hallmark Center in Morristown, Tenn.

He holds nursing home administrator licenses from both Tennessee and Pennsylvania. He is also licensed as an assisted living administrator and a real estate broker for the state of Florida.

Foxworthy lives in Canonsburg with his wife, Annie.
