South Strabane Township police are looking for an East Pittsburgh man accused of being an accomplice in a burglary of a house under construction earlier this year.

Charles Fey IV, 33, along with Jason Walter Moore, 34, of Braddock, are accused of trying to steal appliances Jan. 21 from a home under construction at 1530 Lombard Circle. Township police had been called to the house after a neighbor saw lights in the home.

Fey had worked on a construction crew in the plan, hanging dry wall, and would have known appliances were stored in the house, police said. Police stopped the men’s truck and found a dolly in the bed. The two told police they were going to Krispy Kreme and had stopped at the house to check the lights on the vehicle, which they said had quit working.

Moore was held for court following a preliminary hearing Tuesday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, conspiracy, loitering and prowling at night and possessing an instrument of a crime. Fey faces the same charges. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-225-8111.
