Claysville funeral director resurfaces
A Claysville funeral director whose unexplained absence left friends and colleagues concerned resurfaced Tuesday and said he is closing his business for health reasons.
Michael H. Heinrich, who also has a funeral home in nearby West Alexander, said he feels “terrible” about not notifying people in the Claysville area about his decision, and that he will seek a buyer in an attempt to keep a funeral director in the small borough.
Claysville area residents began calling other local funeral directors in attempts to find Heinrich after he left his business about three weeks ago with a telephone number that since has been disconnected.
Heinrich said anyone who has a prearranged funeral with him is free to take their business to any other funeral director. Anyone with questions can call him at 724-350-1055.
