Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.

Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:

James E. Hainaut Jr., 25, of 44 Belgium Hollow Road, McDonald; two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol; charged Dec. 18, 2011, in the parking lot of 123 S. McDonald St., McDonald, for sleeping in his vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.172 percent; charged June 2 following a crash in the parking lot of a Midway tavern with a BAC of 0.181 percent; sentence – 90 days to 18 months in jail, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.

Ashley M. Brawdy, 24, of 21 Overlook Lane, McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged following a traffic stop Nov. 9 on Route 980 at Weavertown Lane; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.

Jeoffery L. Ranson, 21, of 1549 E. 26th St., Erie; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 28 after police responded to an incident at 423 Fifth St., California; sentence – 6 months of probation.

Jessica E. Paul, 25, of 1114 Schweitzer Road, Apt. 3, McKeesport; second offense of DUI; charged June 29 in front of First Niagara Pavilion in Hanover Township with a BAC of 0.252 percent; sentence – 90 days to 18 months in jail, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.

William T. Miller, 46, of 67 Homer Lane, Charleroi; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 18 after he refused a breath test in the parking lot of Cougar Mini Mart, 750 Lincoln Ave., North Charleroi; sentence – 90 days to 18 months in jail, $500 fine.

Ronell Baron, 42, of 1859 Main St., Allenport; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 31 during a DUI checkpoint on Route 88 at Ringgold Middle School, Union Township, with a BAC of 0.143 percent; sentence – 40 days to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $750 fine.

Luke DeThomas, 32, of 111 Hickory Grade Road, Bridgeville; first offense of DUI; charged Aug. 13 following a crash in the parking lot of Billy’s Bar on Route 844 and then fleeing the scene; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $500 fine.

Gary Halaja, 51, of 420 E. Wheeling St., Apt. 4, Washington; first offense of DUI; charged July 26 following a traffic stop on College Street, Washington, with a BAC of 0.088 percent; sentence – 6 months of probation,  $300 fine.

Kyle B. Winkleblech, 61, of 1201 W. Main St., Monongahela; first offense of DUI; charged July 12 following a traffic stop on Route 136, Nottingham Township, with a BAC of 0.226 percent; sentence – 7 days to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $1,000 fine.

Milissa S. Christner, 29, of 503 Fifth Ave., Brownsville, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged June 20 following a traffic stop in West Brownsville; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 6 months.

William H. Glendenning, 36, of 653 McClane Farm Road, Washington; first offense of DUI; charged Aug. 9 following a two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of Allison Hollow Road, Chartiers Township; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $1,000 fine.

Dylan Huseman, 22, of 2273 Belmont Ave., Washington; charged Dec. 8 for providing false identification to law enforcement following a traffic stop on Lakeview Drive, South Strabane Township; sentence – 6 months of probation.

Jessica L. Hysong, 35, of 603 N. Main St., Washington; retail theft, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal attempt; charged June 28 with retail theft at CVS pharmacy, 175 W. Beau St., Washington; charged Aug. 31 with criminal attempt at Angelo’s Restaurant for attempting to steal a purse from the employee locker room; charged Sept. 5 in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street, Washington, for having drug paraphernalia; charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 5 at America’s Best Value Inn, 1385 W. Chestnut St.; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Timothy W. Grimes, 38, of 603 N. Main St., Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 5 at America’s Best Value Inn, 1385 W. Chestnut St., Washington, while police were investigating a complaint; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Chevonn M. Hazzard, 39, of 227 Knox Ave., Monessen; first offense of DUI and driving with a suspended license; charged Aug. 24 following a traffic stop on Donora-Monessen Bridge with a BAC of 0.207 percent; sentence – 30 days to 6 months on electronic home monitoring, 12-month license suspension, $1,200 fine.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle was:

Stanley A. Lucas, 53, of 2256 Route 88, Finleyville; aggravated assault; charged for assaulting a woman May 20 at his residence; sentence – 3 months in jail followed by 6 months on electronic home monitoring with the remainder of the 23 months on probation, ordered to complete anger-management training.
