Greene County Library System Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Thomas Hughes House in Jefferson.
The Greene County Industrial Development Authority’s meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, has been cancelled.
A community dinner will be held at Throckmorton United Methodist Church in East View from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The menu will include hot roast beef sandwiches, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, desserts and drinks. Takeout is available; everyone is welcome to attend.
The Warrior Trail Association will be having its first meeting of the year at the Warrior Trail headquarters in Fordyce at 6:30 p.m. March 21. Charles Hemilrick of the Harken Rendezvous will present a program on the Western Mountain Men of 1830, Jim Bridger Era. This will be a covered-dish dinner meeting. A dinner to support a mission trip to help victims of Hurricane Sandy will be held at Jefferson United Methodist Church March 22 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will consist of creamed chicken on bisquit, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, desserts and beverages. A donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 will be accepted.
