PennDOT and local police announce spring enforcement

The state Department of Transportation teamed with South Fayette Township and Cecil Township police departments Tuesday to announce the start of a statewide campaign to fight aggressive driving.

A press conference held at the old Star Theater parking lot on Route 50 near the Bridgeville on-ramp to Interstate 376 highlighted the spring collaboration between 350 municipal police forces and state police that will enforce safe driving on state roadways through April 28. Washington County police departments participating include Cecil, South Strabane, North Strabane, Peters and North Franklin townships, the City of Washington and the state police in Washington.
