Canton man won’t seek election

1 min read

A Canton Township man has withdrawn his petition to seek a Democratic nomination to the township board of supervisors in the May primary.

James T. Miller withdrew his candidacy prior to a hearing challenging his petition this week before President Judge Debbie O’Dell Seneca. Miller’s petition was being challenged on the claim that Miller was not a registered member of the Democratic Party.

County elections director Larry Spahr said Miller had no political affiliation when circulating his petition. Miller registered as a Democrat after filing the petition.
