Three flown from scene of I-79 crash

1 min read

An accident on Interstate 79 left traffic at a standstill between the Laboratory and Lone Pine exits in Amwell Township Saturday afternoon.

State police said a car traveling south on I-79 rolled over after leaving the road and striking a guardrail.

Driver Randall L. Dusha, 62, and passengers Theresa M. Dusha, 54, and Felisha Dusha, 18, all of Clarksville, were ejected from the vehicle in the ensuing crash. Police said they were not wearing seat belts.

Three helicopters were dispatched to the scene, and all three patients were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals. Information about their conditions wasn’t immediately available.

Traffic in the northbound lanes of I-79 was stopped for miles as emergency crews took over the scene. Traffic on Route 19 in the area was heavy, too, as motorists sought alternate routes.
