Woman accused of assaulting cops, paramedic
A Donora woman is accused of assaulting two borough police officers and a paramedic after they were called to remove her from her room at an assisted-living center.
Cynthia M. Cole, 56, of McKean Manor at 789 McKean Ave., is accused of kicking Donora Officer Robert Dorcon in the groin after taking a swing at Edward Champion Jr., a paramedic with Mon Valley Emergency Services, who was also kicked in the scuffle about 12:45 a.m. March 16, court records show.
She also is charged with grabbing Donora Officer Howard Rider, causing a laceration to his right arm, before he deployed a Taser to subdue her, police stated in the affidavit.
The center’s staff had called police to have Cole taken to Mon Valley Hospital for an exam after she began threatening them and her roommate, the record shows.
Cole is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of disorderly conduct.
She is in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
