PennDOT worker hit by car in Monongahela
A state Department of Transportation worker was struck by a car this morning in the Mon Valley.
The person was hit by the car in the lower leg shortly before 7:30 a.m. while working in Monongahela at Fourth and Williams streets, according to Monongahela police Chief Bryan Tempest. The worker was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The driver of the vehicle told police that the sun was in her eyes and she did not see the worker.
