Signs stolen: Two 14-year-old Burgettstown boys are accused of stealing streets signs from locations in the borough last year and hiding them in a cabin they had in a wooded area of Smith Township, McDonald police said. Borough officials spent almost $900 to replace the signs. The boys returned several of the signs after being interviewed by police. Theft charges are pending against the pair.

Harassment charge: Kimberly Huggins, 54, of 604 Spruce Ave., Washington, will be charged by Canonsburg police with harassment for allegedly grabbing Nicole Powell, 31, of 530 Chartiers Ave., Canonsburg, by the face and pulling her hair during a confrontation Thursday at 515 Perry Como St.

Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: John Michael Mowry, 23, of Oakdale, was charged by McDonald police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as speeding stemming from an April 30 traffic stop on East Lincoln Avenue. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Burning violation: Courtney Leigh Long, 32, of 107 Jefferson St., Midway, was cited by McDonald police for a burning violation after a recreational fire reportedly damaged near neighbor’s fence at 109 Jefferson. Police said Long told the neighbor that a friend started the fire.

Vehicle damaged: McDonald police are looking for information on a vehicle that struck a parked pickup truck and fled early Friday. Brian Walls of 109 Washington Ave., Midway, told police that his wife discovered the damage when she came home from work about 12:25 a.m. Pieces that appeared to have come from a silver or gray Toyota were found. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-926-2105.

Money clip stolen: Jason Ladue, 35, of Dunkin, Okla., told North Franklin police that his money clip containing $200, a medical insurance card and a debit card were stolen at the Days Inn on West Chestnut Street.

Harassment charge: Courtney Dixon, 20, of 113 Maple Ave., Washington, and Kwelin Beckner, 29, of 166 Jollick Manor, Washington, will be charged by North Franklin police with harassment for allegedly assaulting and pulling each other’s hair during a confrontation Thursday at 298 Roosevelt St.

Charged in assault: Howard David Thomas, 32, of 19 Poplar St., Washington, was charged Friday by Washington police in a May 20, 2012, assault outside a South Main Street bar.Thomas is accused of asssaulting Kelvin Shultz, 24, of Canton Township. He is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Burglary reported: Jennifer Dunfee of 870 W. Chestnut St. told Washington police that her home was burglarized Wednesday. The front door was kicked in, but nothing was reported stolen.

Necklace, money stolen: Dennis Tate of 705 Broad St. told Washington police Friday that a gold necklace and $55 were stolen from his home.
