Woman injured in crash

1 min read

A Canonsburg woman who marked her 43rd birthday Thursday was injured that night in an accident involving a tri-axle dump truck on Henderson Avenue near Wilna Street.

Washington police said Margaret Marie Bizub of 1007 First St. crossed the center line and sideswiped the truck driven by David R. Caldwell, 43, of 3355 W. Chestnut St., Washington.

The fuel tank on the truck owned by Tarr Redi-Mix Concrete was punctured, and Washington County Hazardous Materials team responded to handle the diesel fuel leak. Also assisting at the scene were Washington firefighters.

Bizub was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. She was listed in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said Friday.
