Lions Club selects students of month
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Tayler Benson and Austin Sager have been selected as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for May.
Benson, daughter of Christopher and Amy Benson, Waynesburg, maintains a 3.93 grade-point average.
She is a member of National Honor Society, Alpha club, Spanish club, SADD and does elementary tutoring. She also is captain of the varsity girls’ soccer team and was a member of the Cinderella court.
Outside of school, she volunteers as a preschool dance instructor.
Benson plans to attend Clarion University and major in early childhood education and special education.
Sager, son of Emily Dunfee and Daniel Sager, Waynesburg, maintains a 3.71 grade-point average.
He is a member of National Honor Society, Academic League, captain of the debate team, ski club, The Future is Mine and the library service club.
Outside of school, he assists the elderly with in-home tasks.
Sager plans to attend Suffolk University in Boston and major in political science with a pre-law advisory.
