Ceremony scheduled at GCCTC
WAYNESBURG – Greene County Career and Technology Center will hold its Recognition Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Waynesburg Central High School. The class of 2013 includes 93 students.
The Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening is Andrea Toothman, a Mapletown High School computer networking technology student and the daughter of Millie Roebuck and Andy Toothman.
She is a member of Skills-USA and is president of the National Technical Honor Society. She is an honors student and has been chosen as a Greene County Student of the Quarter on several occasions.
Her plans are to continue to develop her-T shirt design business and eventually pursue a degree in graphic design.
The student speaker is Christa Ziefel, a West Greene High School cosmetology student and the daughter of Cathy and Dave Ziefel.
Ziefel has completed the 1250 PA State Board of Cosmetology requirements, passed the exam and is employed at Holiday Hair.
Her activities include being selected as the 2012 Greene County Fair Queen, varsity rifle team captain, a member of the volleyball team, as well as being an honor student.
Ziefel has been accepted as an elementary and special education major at Waynesburg University.
The public is invited.
