Action: The board of supervisors voted unanimously to withdraw an outstanding notice of violation on the Roger Kendall property at 1520 Valley View Road. The action puts to rest a dispute between the municipality and the Kendall family regarding a subdivision plan for the property.

Action: A bond was set to retain the services of tax collector Amy Yadrick Constant. The bond was set at 30 percent of the township’s expected $286,260 in tax revenues, or $85,878.

Action: Renewal bonds were approved for the positions of board secretary, treasurer and business manager. Laura Shola was approved as business manager with a bond of $100,000, Donald Underwood as board treasurer with an annual fee of $500 and a bond of $50,000 and Debra Bentz as board secretary with a $50,000 bond.
Board members approved a preliminary budget for the 2013-14 year of roughly $10.4 million. The tax will remain the same at 120.88 mills.

Action: Supervisors voted unanimously to amend a zoning ordinance. The residential zoning classification known as R-2, which is designated for land to be used for agricultural and residential purposes, was amended to allow oil and gas drilling operations.
