Police beat May 17
Rider injured: James Bedillion, 54, of Marianna, was injured when his motorcycle crashed about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Amity Ridge Road, Amwell. State police said he was riding north when a foot peg caught on the pavement. The motorcycle went off the road, across a driveway at 132 Amity Ridge and flipped several times. He was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital for treatment.
Teens cited: Brad VanDivner, 18, of Frederick Terrace, East Bethlehem, and a 17-year-old East Bethlehem boy will be cited for passing a moving school bus with their vehicles on Crawford Road Thursday morning, East Bethlehem police said. The 17-year-old’s vehicle went off the road, went over a hillside and crashed. He was not injured.
Minor allegedly served: The operators of Ole Hickory Inn, 125 Main St., face a citation from the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly serving alcohol to a 19-year-old April 11.
Simple assault charge: A Greensburg man will be charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief following an incident at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of East McMurray Road, township police said. Anthony Denezza, 32, of Warwick Drive, went to the house to inquire about his former girlfriend when he was confronted by the girl’s father, police said. The father refused to say where she was, and that is when Denezza began to yell at the father, police said. Denezza grabbed the father’s cellular telephone when he began to call police and threw it into the woods, police said. Denezza then grabbed the father’s arm and struck the man on the right side of his face with a fist, police said. As Denezza was driving away, police said he drove toward the father, who had to jump away to avoid being struck.
