Washington County commissioners meeting
• Date: May 16
• Action: At the request of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Department, Dr. John Biever will consult and provide technical assistance with projects assigned by the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse from July 1 through June 30, 2014. The contract authorization amount will not exceed $40,500. During the same period, Dr. Gordon R. Hodas will provide psychiatric consultation services at an amount not to exceed $114,892.
At the request of Coroner Timothy Warco, the board approved amendments to a monthly fee scheduled to post-mortem laboratory services provided by NMS Labs of Willow Grove to include additional testing as a result of medication changes and other tests through Feb. 28, 2014.
The commissioners OK’d the purchase of a 2013 Dodge van equipped to handle the disabled, at a cost of $42,762, from Health Center capital funds under a contract that does not require bidding.
At the request of the planning department, the board approved a division order with Range Resources to release royalty revenues for the Krajacic Unit 3H, of which a portion is in Cross Creek County Park.
At the request of the Recorder of Deeds, the the commissioners agreed to purchase 31 personal computers at a total cost of $31,000 from CDW-G of Vernon Hills, Ill., under a state contract that does not require bidding. Money for the purchase will come from the office’s Records Improvement Funding. The same firm, under the same contract, will provide $40,000 worth of software support for the Public Safety Department.
At the request of the jail, the commissioners approved a $100 petty cash account so jail personnel can provide change to those who are posting bond for an inmate.
• Appointments: David Kresh, Margery McKinley, Phyllis Englert, Leona Alexis, Paulie Chappel, Fred Owens, Mary Alice Luskowski, Myrna Calabro, Rozella Beegle and Carolyn Dunklin, canvass board for the primary election; the Rev. Frederick Pheil, two-year term, and Thomas E. Moore, one-year term, veterans advisory council.
• Announcement: Except for the elections office, Washington County offices are closed today because of the Pennsylvania primary election. All county offices will be closed Monday because of Memorial Day.
