Boy, 1, killed, 2 women injured in Pa. shooting
PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania say a 1-year-old boy was killed and two women injured in a shooting.
Police in Allegheny County said the gunfire was reported about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
Lt. Richard Pritchard told the Pittsburgh Tribune Review the boy was pronounced dead at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
He said a woman shot in the back was taken to a hospital in critical condition and condition of another woman hit in the extremities wasn’t yet known.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said witnesses told authorities the gunfire came from a car.
Police found dozens of shell casings along the road. No arrests were immediately reported.
