Upcoming day camp to get ‘Wild’
Greene County youth ages 8 to 12 can attend “Nature Gone Wild” Day Camp from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 26.
The cost is $10 per person and the registration fee includes bus, lunch, a T-shirt and activities. Deadline for making reservations is June 5.
The day begins in the 4-H building at the Greene County Fairgrounds with registration, mixers and get acquainted activities before boarding a bus to Ryerson Station State Park.
After arriving at the park, campers will see fish electro shocking and participate in a stream study learning about aquatic life.
At noon, they will enjoy a picnic lunch at the park. In the afternoon, campers will have the opportunity to hike in the woods, learn about owls and other wildlife, cast animal tracks and design their own T-shirt before boarding the bus to return to the fairgrounds.
