Bentworth, California high schools evacuated

Both Bentworth and California high schools were evacuated this morning.

Students at Bentworth were sent to the elementary center for undisclosed reasons, although district officials contacted parents telling them students would be sent home early. It was not immediately known when the students would be dismissed. The entrance to the high school has been closed.

Meanwhile, California Area High School was also evacuated after the district received a bomb threat was phoned in this morning. Students are also being sent home early. District officials said police officers and K9 units are being called to sweep the building. It was not immediately known how the threat was sent.
