SKIPPACK (AP) – State police say a teenager has been arrested in the stabbing death of his girlfriend on a suburban Philadelphia hiking trail.

Police in Montgomery County say the two teenagers got into an argument between 9 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. Saturday on the trail system in Skippack Township.

Troopers allege that during the argument, the 16-year-old youth produced a knife and stabbed 17-year-old Julianne Siller of Royersford multiple times.

Police said the youth fled the area, went home and told family members. Troopers said the body of the victim was found after the youth’s parents called police.

Police said the suspect is in custody and was to be arraigned later in the day.
