Failed to register: Kerry McFelly, 53, of Charleroi, has been indicted in federal court on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender, U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced Wednesday. McFelly was required to register his address by the Vermont Superior Court under the terms of his 1993 conviction of sexually assaulting a child under age 16, a federal news release indicates. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Driver injured: Glenn Holden, 23, of North Haft Street, Houston, was injured early Saturday when his vehicle went off Plum Run Road and into a creek, Chartiers police said. Charges are pending the outcome of chemical testing, police said.

One injured: One woman was injured in a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Pike Street at Barnickle Street, Meadow Lands, Chartiers police said. Vehicles driven by Teresa Ann Engler, 38, of 285 Arthur Road, Chartiers, and Amanda Balach, 24, of 39 Woodland Road, Hickory, were stopped for a red light when a pickup truck driven by George Brozenick, 52, of 515 W. College St., Canonsburg, hit the rear of Balach’s vehicle, pushing it into Engler’s vehicle. Balach was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment.

Assault arrest: Christopher Todd Nestor, 40, of 131 First St., Marianna, was arrested by state police Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy at his home the previous afternoon. Police responded to the Washington Hospital emergency room Monday. Nestor is accused of pushing the boy to the ground, causing the boy to hit his head. When the boy got up, Nestor reportedly started screaming at him. He then allegedly shoved the boy into a glass door. The boy was diagnosed with a concussion at the hospital. Nestor was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Washington County jail on a $25,000 percentage bond.

Warrant arrest: Brandon Henderson, 25, of 601 Sheridan Ave., Monongahela, was arrested Wednesday morning by Monongahela police after he allegedly ran from police in the area of Chess Park. Police determined he was wanted on a warrant obtained by Carroll Township police on charges of theft, bad checks and receiving stolen property stemming from a July 24, 2011, incident. City police said they also found Henderson with drug paraphernalia and charged him with possession of paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned on all the charges before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in the Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.

Cellphone stolen: Preston Belcastro, 21, of 59 Donegal Ave., Claysville, was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with theft of mislaid property for allegedly taking a cellphone owned by Brant Walker of Washington that had been left on a counter at the BP station, 1360 W. Chestnut St., March 12. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Charged with theft: Robert D. Fitch, 21, of 38 W. Walnut St., Washington, is in custody at the Licking County, Ohio, jail on a charge of a theft of a motor vehicle after he allegedly stole a Chevrolet Aveo owned by Joseph T. Sabot, 35 Milbeck Drive, Saturday, North Franklin police said.

DUI, marijuana charges: Jordan E. Kovacic, 24, of 1857 Arlington Ave., Washington, faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from a traffic stop Friday at West Chestnut Street and Franklin Farms Road. North Franklin police said Kovacic refused to submit to chemical testing. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Wallet stolen: Shirley Curry of Pump Station Road, Washington, told North Franklin police Friday that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at Washington Cemetery.

DUI, open container charges: Scott T. Hoy, 28, of 262 W. Dividing Ridge Road, Prosperity, will be charged with DUI and having an open container of beer after North Franklin police said they saw him driving erratically on West Chestnut Street early Sunday. Police said he had three open cans of beer in his vehicle. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

DUI arrest: Kayleigh D. Thomas, 25, of 786 Baker Hill Road, Washington, was charged Tuesday with DUI by North Strabane police stemming from an April 28 crash in the 1900 block of Route 19. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Criminal mischief: A convertible parked in the lot of a fast-food restaurant at 3723 Washington Road was keyed before 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, township police said.

Institutional vandalism: Two benches at Forest Lawn Gardens, 3739 Washington Road, were damaged between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, township police said. One granite bench was pushed into the pond, and a leg was broken. Damage to that bench was $1,000. A second red granite cremation bench, valued at $5,500, was broken apart, police said.

Pickup truck stolen: A white Ford 250 pickup was stolen and a soft drink machine was entered at Federouch Landscaping and Supply, 202 Buckeye St., before 7:46 a.m. Tuesday, township police said. The truck has blue lettering on the red tailgate.

Retail theft: Joshua C. Petragas, 33, of 437 E. Chestnut St., Washington, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing teeth whitener from Walmart, Trinity Point, May 21. Petragas will be arraigned on the charge later before District Judge Jay Weller.

Retail theft: Shannon K. Gump, 31, of 41 Hutchison Road, Claysville, was charged with retail theft by South Strabane police after allegedly stealing items from Walmart, Trinity Point, on two occasions this month. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Assault, harassment charges: Pablo Ruiz-Diaz, 26, of 146 Monterrey Drive, Washington, was charged Tuesday by simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting Francisco Rodriguez-Soto of McMurray May 7 at Grand China Buffet, 341 Oak Spring Road, South Strabane police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

One injured: An Amity woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash Friday at the south junction of Interstates 70 and 79, South Strabane. State police said vehicles driven by Robert G. Johnston, 77, of Amity and John Jones, 65, of North East, Md., were merging from I-79 northbound to I-70 when a pickup truck driven by Kenneth Karickhoff, 21, of Volga, W.Va., hit Johnston’s car, pushing it into Jones’ car. A passenger in Johnston’s car, Nancy Johnston, 77, of Washington, was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Karickhoff was cited for following too closely.

Man found with stolen guns: Robert A. Westfall Jr., 28, of 278 Buffalo Road South, Hopewell, was charged with receiving stolen property after Washington police said they found five guns, two cases and various jewelry in the car he was driving in the city Tuesday afternoon. Police said Westfall did not own the car and that the items were reported stolen after the burglary of a Buffalo Township home.

Simple assault charge: Washington police said they plan to charge Natasha Partee, 25, of 1 Juniper St., Ellsworth, with simple assault after she allegedly attacked two people at a Linn Avenue residence and vandalized a car about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Yard tools stolen: Washington police said a chainsaw, mower, leaf blower and weed trimmer were reported stolen from a shed at Pathways of Southwestern Pennsylvania at 655 Jefferson Ave. Tuesday. The items are worth a combined $735, police said.
