Donna Kim, salutatorian

Bethlehem-Center High School graduated 88 seniors Thursday in the school auditorium.

Leah Marie Seader and Jesse Keruskin were named valedictorians. Donna Kim was salutatorian.

Seader is a daughter of Stanley and Linda Seader of Brownsville. Her speech is titled, “Choices.” She will attend California University of Pennsylvania and study mathematics/engineering.

She has received numerous awards, honors and scholarships, including District and Pennsylvania Leo of the Year, President’s Award for Educational Excellence, Westinghouse Science Award, International Young Leaders in Service Outstanding Achievement Award, D.E. Zappa Award in Science/Mathematics, California University of Pennsylvania Presidential Board of Governor’s Talent Scholarship, Disney Scholarship, Cal U. PJAS Scholarship and National MS Society Scholarship. She is a finalist for the international Leo of the Year Award.

She was involved in many school and extracurricular activities, including president of the Leo Club, class treasurer, school board student representative, physics club president, Envirothon president, varsity track team, National Honor Society, and junior deacon at First Christian Church.

Keruskin is a daughter of Pete and Kelly Keruskin of Fredericktown. Her speech is titled, “If.” She will attend Washington & Jefferson College and study French and international business.

She was a recipient of the DAR Good Citizen Award and the W&J Scholar’s Award. She was also French club president, newspaper editor, and a member of the film club, Hometown High Q, National Honor Society, gifted program, reading competition team and recycling team. She also studies piano and voice, is a member of the French Alliance of Pittsburgh and volunteers at St. Michael the Archangel church.

Kim is a daughter of Brian and Irina Pritchard of Marianna. Her speech is titled, “The Next Chapter.” She will attend the University of Pittsburgh and study pharmacy.

She was National Honor Society treasurer, concert choir secretary and a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, varsity basketball team, Leo club, show choir, Spanish club, relay for life and PJAS. She received the Tri-M Music Honor Society Award.
