At the competition, students were quizzed on all books. Students from Central Greene, West Greene and Jefferson-Morgan School Districts competed in the elementary, middle and high school categories.

Elite Readers from Graysville Elementary won first place in the elementary level. Team members were Brock Bedilion, Ben Jackson, Kylie Simms, Gavin Scott, Marshall Whipkey, Jacoy Griffiths, Amber Finch, Austin Crouse and Hunter Guthrie.

Margaret Bell Miller Middle School’s “Brainstorm” team, consisting of Will Behm, Claire Kreider, Amber Warren, Caleb Blair, Ben Bumgarner, Nathan Price, Eden Rogers and Brooke Meek, won first place and the “Reading Raptors” team, made up of Makayla Rogers, Jesse Hampson, Rachel Hutton, Calvin Rogers, Madeline McCarty, Elizabeth Morrow, Holly Grainger, Lydia Oddo and Catherine Thompson won second place. MBM teams were coached by Diane Cossick and Alice Matis.
